We’re excited to announce that the application period for the 2024 Professional and Student Awards is now OPEN! This is your opportunity to recognize the outstanding contributions of your colleagues—or even nominate yourself—for excellence in our field.
Why Nominate or Apply?
- Award Recipients will receive complimentary registration for the Connecticut Academy’s annual meeting!
- Winners will be featured in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Each awardee will receive a congratulatory letter and certificate, signed by the Academy’s President.
Professional Awards
We are now accepting nominations for the following professional categories:
- Emerging Dietetic Leader Award
- Outstanding Dietitian of the Year Award
- Recognized Nutrition and Dietetics Technician of the Year Award
- Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award

Student Awards
The following student categories are also open for nominations:
- Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Student Award
- Dietetic Internship (DI) Student Award
- Coordinated Program (CP) Student Award
- Dietetic Technician Program (DTP) Student Award
- Future Education Model (FEM) Graduate Program Student Award
- International/Foreign Dietetics Education Programs (IDE/FDE)
